The neonatal unit at Ebomé Hospital plays a critical role in caring for premature and high-risk newborns coming from one of the busiest maternity wards in the region.
In recent months, the unit has been reinforced with four low-cost incubators, the arrival of a pediatrician to ensure specialized follow-up, and better-structured care protocols that improve daily organization and response.
These combined efforts are significantly improving survival rates and long-term outcomes for vulnerable newborns, while raising the overall standard of neonatal care in a resource-limited environment.
